Cooking food is believed to destroy essential vitamins, enzymes and minerals. Fact is, heating food above 116 degrees could lessen or diminish all the nutritional value of food. Thus, eating raw food will supply us with right nutritional value. But the biggest question out there is – Is eating raw food and excluding cooked foods beneficial?
That answer is “No”. Of course there a lot benefits of eating raw fruits and vegetables but having an exclusive raw-food diet is a disadvantage. If we exclude all cooked food like steamed vegetables and vegetable soups from your diet, it will lessen it’s nutrition variety. Cooking Corn is a good example. Raw corn’s 500% ferulic acid is increased 900% when cooked.
