However, we are not talking about the normal low-fat raw way of eating. Instead, this is all about simple raw recipes or mono meal (a meal of only one type of fruit).

This doesn’t only mean that you can actually taste every single ingredient, but also, you will be spending less time in the kitchen. The ingredient must also be found effortlessly so that a simple trip to your local farmer’s market or grocer is all you need to do in order to take hold of the ingredients you need.

2. Easy to prepare recipe – Each recipe must not take a lot of equipment, nor of your time to put together. The most equipment you should need would be a blender or food processor.

3. Talking about digestion – Probably the most important guideline. This depends upon the first two. Too many ingredients in your meal make it harder for the body to digest so if preparing your meal is difficult, it probably means that you’re using a lot of ingredients, and the meal is very processed.

Majority of raw recipes includes nuts combined with date or other kind of fruits that are usually dried. Although this may be great-tasting and are perfect texture for a lot of mock recipes, it is bad for the digestion.

As compared to fatty foods like nuts and oils, simple sugars that are found it fruits are digested by the body quickly. Literally, it only takes the body 30 minutes or less to digest a whole fruit meal while just a handful of nuts take hours for the stomach to fully process.

If you eat a combination of fruits and nuts, the fatty foods slow down the digestion while the fruit has to wait for the fat to be digested instead of quickly getting through the system. As a result, the sugar will ferment inside the body which will leave you gassy, bloated and uncomfortable as well.

A really simple meal is one that has minimal ingredients, easy to prepare as well as digested. Mono-meal is a perfect example. In this case, it will be as easy as peeling a banana and digest it 30 minutes or less.

However, if you’re just brand new to raw and cannot grasp the idea of eating only one type of fruit for a meal, certainly you don’t have to! You can mix fruits into fruit bowls or combines your favorite fruits into a wonderful fruit smoothie. You can even add in greens for that perfect green smoothie. All these choices still stick to the guidelines for making simple raw recipes.

Whatever choice you select, bear in mind to keep things simple. When you eat simple meals of fruits that are sweet and limit your fat intake, as well as eating reasonable amounts of veggies, you will get the best nutrition and feel optimal digestion.
